1900: They have to wear dunce cap.  You not allowed to be married. You have to go home and read the bible. Your skirt isn’t allowed to be over you knees. If you disrespectful you have to put your nose in a circle on the board for the punishment. Teachers are not allowed to go to the ice cream shop. The boys have to go to the toilet outside. Boys grabbed girls hair and dabbed it in the ink. Youre not allowed to wear bright colours. Youre not allowed to be tardy. You must be home between 8pm to 6am unless. You had to use a stylus to write with. You are not to keep company with men. You may not smoke cigarettes. You may not travel beyond the city limits unless you have permission of the chairman of the school board.       2013	What happens now and why? How does this differ from the past and why? What is causing the changes and why? What might happen in the future?                                                                       What do you want to happen in the future and why?	If you be naughty you’ll have to put your head on a circle on the board. When you are late you have to write lines. if your not paying attention you will stay in for lunch. If you are talking or disrespecting you have to stand at the corner of the classroom. you get milk instead of fruit. you had to sit on wood chairs. There was Blackboard a instead of whiteboard. When you don’t sit up you get a ruler back straightener.

My Eastern Beach recount

YAHOO!!! The day had finally come. The whole school was going to Eastern Beach. I brought my grandma with me. First we had to line up in front of the bus. I told my grandma to stay close and then everyone had to walk in to the bus one by one. I was tired of waiting so when the teacher wasn’t looking I ran to my seat. I found a seat near my friend and we were talking so much the person who was sitting with us was really annoyed. Next thing we knew we had reached our destination. We sat in our class line and the principal told us the rules. I went to my grandma and we started to munch our morning tea. It was delicious. When I finished eating I started to chat with my grandma then my friends started to chase me but they caught me and giggled “Come lets go play”. I replied “Okay let’s play”.

While we were playing I saw a huge tree to climb. When I was in the tree my teacher Mrs Anderson took a picture of me. She had to stay on the grass because she was looking after all the kids who were swimming. One of my friends tried to climb the same tree but it was too hard for him so he found another tree that he could climb. Then my other friend said “Come let’s go skim some shells.” I climbed down and we all went to skim shells but my one wouldn’t bounce at all so I said “I’m not playing.” My friends said “Just try once more please” and when I did it, it worked! I was so happy it worked I shouted“Awesomeness!!” Soon I got really hungry so I went to munch my lunch. It was yummy. “I’m ready to play!” I called out.

I taught my friend to climb the big tree but he just got a little bit high because he was scared. I was laughing like crazy. I looked up and saw everyone packing up. “I think we're leaving now” I said to my friend I ran to my teacher I asked her and she said “Not yet Aryan.” I ran over to my grandma and started to talk to her and while we were talking I saw my friend reading his book. His eye shot to me he came and gave us a challenge from his book it was very hard. Later when it was time to go everyone packed up and made sure there was no rubbish on the ground. We climbed onto the bus and sat down. Everyone looked tired so it was a good thing we were going home. When we reached our destination my grandma signed me out of school and the two of us walked home slowly talking about our day at the beach.

My report on Valerie Adams

ValerieAdams

Valerie Kasanita Adams is a very famous shot putter. She has recently gone to the Olympics and She has won a lot of gold medals. She has put New Zealand on the map around the world for her very great achievements.

Valerie was born on October 6th 1984 in Rotorua. Lilika Ngauamo and Sydney Adams are her parents.  She has several brothers and they all are over seven feet tall. Her mother died when she was just 15 years old. In 1998 her mother had  cancer and she died the following year.
Valerie was very sad and turned to sports for comfort.

Valerie is a shot putter for New Zealand and she has won 12 gold medals, 5 silver and 1 bronze medal she has broken many world records. Overall Valerie Adams is a famous female shot putter. We all believe that she will definitely bring back a gold medal to New Zealand.

1. Are you pleased with your Hot Air Balloon? why
Yes I am because I worked very hard on it.

2. What did you find easy when you made your Hot Air Balloon?
I found easy painting it and I like painting.

3. What part did you find tricky when you made your Hot Air Balloon?
The tricky part was putting on the ribbons.

4. Who helped you when you made your Hot Air Balloon?
My friend Quaid helped me make it.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: Painting, Smoothing, Gluing of ribbon, Glittering and Time Management.
I will do glittering next time.



6. What frustrated you when you made your Hot Air Balloon?
Putting the glue on the balloon when we were doing the ribbons frustrated me.

1. Are you pleased with your origami crane? why?
Yes,I am really happy because my crane looks so nice.

2. What part did you find easy? why?

I found making the face was easy because I just

had to put the pointy bit on the bottom.


3. What part did you find tricky / difficult? Why?

The part I found difficult was getting the sides and putting them up.

I found it hard because it was my first time making Origami.

4. Who helped you in making your Origami Crane?
Miss Paton’s instructions helped me make my paper crane.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about folding, listening, persistence (not giving up) etc.

Next time I would do it all by myself and show it to my family.

My awesome Eastern Beach Picnic

Yahoo!!! One day I woke up and it was the day. Our school was going to Eastern beach on Monday 27 February. We waited so long for the bus to come. Finally it came. I was so happy to see it and so tired. When we arrived at Eastern Beach everyone was so excited about how much fun we were going have. I was more excited than anyone else. It was morning tea time and everyone ate their morning tea. My grandma came with me. My friend Quaid and I went to play on the tree. We couldn’t wait till it was our turn. Quaid was so excited but I was not because the water might be cold for swimming. When it was our turn to swim, everyone in Room 5 put on a life jacket and went in the water. The water was, cold and I did not get use to it. So I came out. Quaid was looking for me and he came out from the water too. We changed into our clothes. After that we slept on our towels. Miss Paton came and took a picture of us. We were still awake. Then we got to have another swim. I came out early because it was freezing cold. Then I ate my lunch. It took me so long to eat my lunch. After this it was time to go back to school. My parents came and gave me a big suprise. They just signed a form to say that they had given their permission for me to stay with them. I got to play on the trees alone. My Dad took some pictures of me and I did my coolest trick. My coolest trick was holding on the tree and jumping down. Dad took a picture of my trick. We stayed for a while. I told my family everything we did and then we all went to my friend Neel’s house. When we all got there I told every single one of them what I did at my awesome picnic at Eastern Beach!!!

Hi my name is Aryan and I am in Room 5. I am year 6 and I'm also 10 years old. I have 2 best friends which are named Quaid and Cody. I have one imaginary friend named Aryan. In my spare time I like to play Xbox with my imaginary friend. But I don't know why he loses a lot???
